Why am I getting an error when installing the Instant App to Shopify?
As of 1 January 2026, Shopify updated how apps are installed and connected to stores. Instant now uses this new connection method, so you may see different steps than you’re used to.

Most common cause of errors
In almost all cases, an install fails because Shopify didn’t grant all the permissions Instant needs. When Shopify asks you to select scopes, copy and paste this full list:

When your connection is successful, you'll receive a green success message. If you're missing any permissions still, they will list on screen and you can easily add any missing permissions
