We’ve updated the process for installing the Instant Pixel on your Shopify store. Previously, the pixel was added directly to your store's theme. Now, you’ll need to create a Shopify Admin API Key and a Storefront API to complete the installation. This new method automates pixel management, ensuring that if you update your theme, the pixel is automatically re-added. Additionally, this change enhances identification during express checkouts, such as Shop Pay and PayPal.
What's New?
- API Integration: Merchants are now required to generate a Shopify Admin API Key and a Storefront API to set up the pixel.
- Automated Pixel Updates: Our system will automatically detect theme updates and reinsert the pixel, so you no longer need to worry about manually adding it after theme changes.
- Enhanced Checkout Identification: This new process improves tracking accuracy during express checkouts, allowing for better customer identification.
How to Set It Up
To install the Instant Pixel using the new process, follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the dashboard under the Pixel Setup section. The dashboard will guide you through generating the necessary API keys and completing the installation.
