What is Turbo mode?
Turbo mode sends your flow emails 2x sooner. It halves the wait before each email in your flows, so an email that usually sends 24 hours after the one before it sends after 12 hours.
Why you need it
- Your normal flow timing is spread out for a typical week. During a short sale, the later emails in a flow can send after the sale has ended.
- Turbo mode moves every flow email forward without adding emails, so shoppers hear from you while your offer is still live.
How to set it up
Before you start
- Turbo mode is off by default.
- It applies to all of your flows at once. You cannot turn it on for one flow only.
Turning it on
- Click the Settings cog in the bottom left corner of your Instant AI dashboard
- Select Email Settings
- Go to Preferences
- Turn on Turbo mode
- Click Save Changes
While Turbo mode is on, a green Turbo mode is on banner shows at the top of your main dashboard page and your Flows page.
Turning it off
Turbo mode stays on until you turn it off.
- Go to Settings cog > Email Settings > Preferences
- Turn off Turbo mode
- Click Save Changes
How it works
What changes
- The wait before the first email in a flow is halved.
- The wait between each email after that is halved.
- Shoppers get the same number of emails.
- Your cooldowns do not change, so a shopper waits the same amount of time before they can enter a flow again.
- Your Email intensity setting does not change. Turbo mode halves the timing your flows already use.
Shoppers who are already in a flow
Instant AI works out the wait when it schedules each email.
- An email that is already scheduled keeps its time.
- Every email scheduled after you turn Turbo mode on uses the shorter wait.
This means a shopper who is part-way through a flow gets the faster timing from their next scheduled email onwards. The same applies when you turn Turbo mode off: emails that are already scheduled keep the shorter timing.
The Turbo mode is on banner
- The banner only shows while Turbo mode is on.
- Click Dismiss to hide it. It shows again when you open your dashboard in a new browser tab.
Note: Dismissing the banner does not turn Turbo mode off. To turn it off, use the toggle in Email Settings > Preferences.
FAQ
Will my shoppers get more emails? No. Shoppers get the same number of emails. Each one sends sooner.
Can I turn on Turbo mode for some flows only? No. Turbo mode applies to all of your flows.
Does Turbo mode turn off automatically when my sale ends? No. It stays on until you turn it off in Email Settings > Preferences.
Does Turbo mode change my cooldowns? No. It only changes the wait between flow emails. How soon a shopper can enter a flow again stays the same.
I turned on Turbo mode. Why did a shopper’s next email not send sooner? That email was already scheduled before you turned Turbo mode on, so it keeps its original time. The emails scheduled after it use the shorter wait.
