You may need to modify the Instant site that your Customer Events pixel is associated to. This may be because
- The customer events pixel has been installed with an incorrect Instant site ID, leading to pixel performance / data issues.
- You have registered a new Instant site (e.g. if you are migrating websites) and wish to use the new one going forward.
Please note that it is important that your Customer Events pixel site ID matches your Instant site ID.
It is also important to ensure that you do not install your site pixel on an Instant account, then use the Customer Events pixel of another Instant account.
This will result in mis-matching site IDs, which can have unintended consequences such as the Instant pixel processing events incorrectly, causing reduced performance and tracking accuracy.

- Proceed to your Shopify dashboard and select Settings in the sidebar.

Select Customer events in the settings sidebar.
- Identify the currently installed Customer events pixel, and click on the three dots on the pixel, then click Delete. Please click Delete in the confirmation window.
- Log into the Instant dashboard here.
- Once you are logged in, use the site selector button to navigate to the site you would like to use. If your site is already selected, please skip this step.
- Navigate in the sidebar to Configuration > Pixel > Shopify > Step 1: Pixel Installation.

You should land on a page that walks you through installing the Shopify Customer Events pixel. - Please complete all steps under Step 1: Pixel Installation. Please note that there is no need to complete the API setup for installing the customer events pixel.
Once this is complete, you will now be using the site ID of your preferred Instant account.
